The Starbreakers Special Olympic athletes of Carrickmore, like everyone else have gone into hibernation over the past two months due to adverse weather all training and social activities were postponed
Howver the new year brought a new start and the team were back in full swing on Sat 23rd of January at the Youth Centre. The session was good although still a little chilly but the boys and girls worked hard. The club have decided, with such a big year ahead to extend training time. The new time will be 11:00am until 1:00pm giving us a full 2 hours as opposed to the 1 and a half hour sessions previous.
The club members were also presented with new training tops for the new year (see picture above) the result of a Christmas CD venture and a lollipop guessing game prior to Christmas. The coach did the singing on the CD so if you didn't get a copy then be thankful lol.
Training continues every Saturday morning at the Youth Centre and all (with new tops) should attend.
