Ireland National Games Limerick 2010

The Carrickmore Starbreakers SO Club will be well represented at the Ireland National Games in limerick when they get underway this Wednesday June 9th 2010. The small rural club have five athletes going to the games, on the track Aoife kerr will be competing in 50m walk and softball throw while Sammy jo sweeney will be bidding for glory in the 100m and shot putt. Francis meenagh will be running the 50m and throwing tennisball and youngest member Jarlath mullin will also be doing tennisball and running the 25m dash. Sammy Jo will also be invovled at the regional level as she will team up with athletes from North Down and Banbridge in the ladies 4x100m relay squad.

In the pool Starbreakers will also be hoping for medals when Orla mcCartan is the sole representitive in the water, orla competes in two events and hopes to strike Gold.

Starbreakers club coach Paul Sweeney will also be a part of the Team Ulster coaching staff at the games in Limerick.
