Starbreakers on the Medal Trail

Five of the Carrickmore Starbreakers are in training now for the upcoming Ireland National Special Olympics Games, Orla McCartan is our sole representitive in Aquatics and is training very hard for the finals. Aoife Kerr, Sammy jJo Sweeney and Francie Meenagh startedc their training with the Ulster team on Sunday last with a sesion in Meadowbank Arena in Magherafelt and will be continuing next Saturday in the Antrim Forum. Our fifth athlete Jarlath Mullin would have started training with Ulster on Sunday last aswell however he suffered a broken arm in an acciden at school so we wish the wee man a speedy recovery.
Club head coach Paul Sweeney also got is first taste of coaching at the Ulster level when he to was put through his paces on Sunday afternoon. Paul will be a part of the Ulster Coaching staff for the Limerick games
